Natural corosion as Sea level rise

Just yesterday, i watched a documentary about rising sea level. The reporter was showing a Beach where the roots of a coconut tree where exposed to the high tide. His prediction was that that tree and many more further inland will be gone by end next Year. Funny... I know the place. I also know that there is a 4 year cycle. Not far from the beach, a Sand bank starts to appear, It gets biger and biger. At the same time, the current will bring sand to the Beach and the shown Coconut tree is about 3m inland. Then the Sandbank gets to a certain size and current changes. Quickly, the Sandbank gets smaller and smaller. Just like the Sand on the beach. Until the Coconut tree is showing its roots. And then... It starts all over again and again. It did that the past 20 years.
